DBS Checks for Locksmiths

Any Locksmith who applies for a membership to the Master Locksmiths Association is required to have a Standard DBS check.

These show spent and unspent convictions, final warnings, as well as any reprimands the individual has on the Police National Computer.

Premises that are licensed to sell alcohol, such as pubs, restaurants or shops, must have a supervisor who holds a Personal Licence.

This licence holder must first get a DBS check, with the level of this check being a Basic.

Basic DBS checks contain a filtered list of convictions and conditional cautions from the Police National Computer (PNC) that are considered unspent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.

DBS Checks for Mortgage Advisors

Under the terms of the 1974 Rehabilitation of Offenders Act for frontline roles in the UK, mortgage advisors are required to have statutory checks when registering with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Those mortgage advisors who are registered with the FCA will be required to have a Standard DBS check.

The level of DBS checks for receptionists will all depend on where the individual will be working.
