When Can You Request A DBS Reprint Of A Certificate?
You may request a DBS reprint of a certificate if all the following conditions are met:
- If your DBS certificate was issued over 14 days ago, but you have not received it yet.
- Your reprint request is made within three months of the date of issue of your certificate.
- The address you provide for the reprint matches the address on your original DBS application. If you have moved since your application was submitted, you must set up a postal redirection before requesting a reprint, as the check will only be posted to the Current Address as it was provided on your application.
How to request a DBS reprint
If your DBS check was done through us here at Aaron’s Department, and your request meets the criteria mentioned above, Company Admins can request a reprint through the Dashboard.
If you aren’t an Aaron’s Department user, you will have to call the DBS directly on 0300 020 0190, or fill out a form which can be found on the Government Website.
When Can’t You Get A DBS Reprint Of A Certificate?
Loss and Damage
The DBS will not issue a reprint if it’s being requested due to loss or damage once the certificate has arrived.
14–93 Days
You can only request a DBS reprint if it is between 14 and 30 days since your certificate was printed & dispatched. You can check this online, using the DBS tracking service.
Multiple DBS Reprints
If you’ve requested a reprint already, they DBS will refuse to issue any more – 1 is the limit, unfortunately.
Summary: DBS Reprint of Certificate
DBS reprints can only be requested if the certificate hasn’t arrived between 14 days to 3 months from the date of completion, and no other reprints have been requested. If these conditions aren’t met, then a new DBS application must be competed.
